A very interesting classroom activity, especially around the Christmas season, is "Letters to Santa".  The Canadian postal service offers a free "Letters to Santa" program where each person who writes to Santa will receive a personal response written in the same language as the original letter; this even includes Braille!  And yes, you can also email Santa!
