Chungbuk Secondary English Teachers' Association (CBSETA)

This page contains materials from my presentation at the 2006 Semiannual English Classroom Innovation and Development Workshop hosted by the Chungbuk Secondary English Teachers' Association at the Chungbuk Education and Science Research Institute.

As soon as I get pictures from the event, I'll be posting them here too.  For the time being however, you'll find downloadable copies of my presentation paper, presentation notes, and my Power Point slide show.

The presentation paper and notes are meant to compliment each other as one is more practical and the other is more theoretical.

It's a dilemma that I always face when planning these presentations; how to balance theory and practice.

It's like learning to drive a car, if you just hop into the car and start driving (all practical, no theory) you are bound to crash.  If you just read books about driving, when the time does come to drive, your knowledge of driving will not match the real world.  So the two different approaches in my presentation paper and presentation notes are my attempt to strike a balance between theoretical and practical knowledge.
