Cards: The Basics

First handout from Korea National University's (KNUE) Intensive English Teacher Training Program (IETTP) Evening Activity Class.  Focuses on four main skills for playing cards: identification, shuffling, cutting, dealing.

Cards: Ninety Eight

This is a simple counting and adding game for 2 or more players, using a standard 52 card deck.  The goal of the game is to avoid making the value of the discard pile more than 98. The person who makes the value of the discard pile more than 98 loses.

Cards: Golf

Just like in real golf, the object of this game it to get the lowest score possible.  This is done by replacing your cards with cards from either the stock pile or the discard pile.  There are two downloads for this game: the instruction sheet and the score card.

Cards: Amazing Location

While most magic tricks require some advance preparation,  the “Amazing Location” trick is good because it requires no advance preparation, just a little bit of showmanship. This trick requires a standard 52-card deck.
